Nikhil Kirtane is a first year MBA student at Wharton, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with Honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to Wharton, Nikhil was an investment analyst for two years at Frontier Ridge Capital, a distressed hedge fund started by former members of Atticus Capital and MSD Capital. He previously spent two years at H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private equity firm with over $7.5 billion of equity capital under management, where he focused on leveraged buyouts, equity, and debt investments in distressed companies. He was also a member of the Investment Banking / Leveraged Finance group at Deutsche Bank for two years, where he focused on M&A;, high yield and bankruptcy financings. Nikhil's interests include technology, skiing, discussing US politics, and playing the violin.
