Javed Khan
Managing Director, The Blackstone Group

Javed Khan is a Managing Director in the Corporate Private Equity Group based in London. Previously, Mr. Khan served as the Deputy Managing Director of Blackstone Advisors India Private Limited. He has been involved in the execution of the firm's investment in Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2005, Mr. Khan was a Director in DLJ Merchant Banking in London where he had worked for five years with a focus on healthcare private equity investments in Europe. Previous to that, he spent seven years in DLJ’s Investment Banking Group in New York and London where he focused on Mergers & Acquisitions and High Yield Financings. Mr. Khan has previously served on the boards of Grohe, Nycomed Pharma, BioPartners, NextPharma Technologies and Bowater Building Products. Mr. Khan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the School of Engineering. Mr. Khan also holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
